Worship at Christ Church is joyful and inspirational

Worship lies at the heart of the Christian life. We worship God because of who God is and what God has done for us. Let us gather to offer our thanks and praise! You are always welcome in worship.

Family Worship
Sundays at 9 AM

This spirited and joyful service is for babies to great-grandparents. A dedicated "prayground" at the front of the worship space encourages young children to engage their senses while actively participating in a holy service that's meaningful for all ages. The Message shared by the preacher is geared toward young listeners with elements for adults, too.

Holy Communion is celebrated at every service and all are welcome to receive from the Lord's Table.

About Worship

Worship at Christ Church is at once vibrant and contemplative: a combination of liturgy taken from the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer, fused with contemporary and traditional styles. We strive toward creative and meaningful worship.

We find that when we gather for worship, our spirits are renewed. We offer prayer and praise, leaving each service better prepared to meet the week ahead.

Eucharist is the central act of worship for Episcopalians as a way to connect with God and each other. As we break bread, our eyes are opened to the presence of Christ. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we are made one body, sent forth to live the Way of Love. All are welcome to receive.

What to Expect

During worship, we gather to learn from the scriptures and respond in prayer. Worship in the Episcopal Church is based on the Book of Common Prayer,  an ancient liturgical guide that provides a foundation for how we worship and helps guide our spiritual practice. A preacher offers a timely message that helps us explore scripture and relate to the world in meaningful ways.

At Christ Church, we welcome people of all ages and abilities. We invite you to bring your whole selves to worship. Our Family Worship service at 9 AM particularly invites movement, sound, and active participation. Wiggles are welcome! Nursery Care is available Sundays at 9 AM and a Family Room is available at both in-person services for rocking, nursing, or just taking a little break.

Sundays at 11 AM we gather for our classic worship service where timeless traditions blend with modern elements to allow us praise God and connect with God's people. At both services, many kinds of attire are welcome. Some people dress up and some people wear more casual clothes. Come, as you are, any time!

Music Ministry

Music is a vital part of worship at Christ Church. Blending traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs, we are blessed with a vibrant and accomplished music ministry that provides inspiration and reflection for the week ahead. The purpose of this ministry is to glorify God through music and to transform lives through worship. Choir and ensemble members often say their participation in music ministry is one of the most fulfilling parts of their church lives and worshippers are continually blessed through our music ministry. There are several choirs and instrumental ensembles and you are welcome to join at any time.

Choirs & Ensembles

Adults can join the choir to sing, experience scripture and prayer in song, learn vocal exercises and music theory, and enjoy the gift of a singers’ community. Instrumentalists are also an important part of our music ministry. If you play an instrument well and would like to share your gifts in worship, we would love to welcome you.

The Youth Choir includes fun, singing, and fellowship for 6th-12th graders. These young people learn much about music and performance while growing deeper in their faith and in relationship with their peers.

In different seasons, there are opportunities for children to gather for musical exploration.  Contact Keith Tan for more.
