About the Concert

Christ Church Music Ministry's Iluminare: Your Light Has Come is a free concert, open to the public. You'll be invited to donate to ACTS RVA, which prevents homelessness in our community.

Combining ancient sacred texts with contemporary choral harmonies, Illuminare by Elaine Hagenburg takes us through a season of beauty and goodness that has been disrupted by darkness and confusion. But as Light gradually returns, hope is restored, illuminating our future and guiding us in peace.

Through Hagenberg’s contemporary-sacred choral work and other pieces, the program will explore how God shines in our lives and brings life and hope.

Please, join us as we will experience beauty and holiness through music and learn more about how ACTS is a shining example of God’s love at work.

All are welcome!

About our Mission Partner

ACTS (Area Congregations Together in Service)

ACTS envisions a community where all Richmonders live sustainable and dignified lives without fear of homelessness. Their mission is to prevent homelessness in our community by providing financial support and resources to our neighbors who find themselves in housing crisis; those who are often  just “one step away from homelessness.”

Supported by more than 60 interfaith partners, including Christ Church Episcopal, as well as community and corporate foundations, ACTS has served hundreds of persons for over 17 years. This vital ministry has kept countless individuals and families from falling into the destructive and devastating cycle of homelessness.

At "Illuminare: Your Light Has Come," you'll experience God through song and word. You'll learn more about the incredible mission of ACTS and have a chance to bring more Light into our community through your donations and support.
