The church has never been simply a place we go on Sundays.
It is the Body of Christ at work in the world, called into being at the font and sent to love our neighbors as ourselves. At Christ Church Episcopal, we believe worship and service are two halves of the same call, meaning our life together doesn't stop at the front door. Whether it's a meal delivered or a hand held through a hard season, every ministry here grows out of promises we made at our baptism. Some give an hour a month, others give a season of their life, and both matter equally.

Mission Partner of the Month
RVA Kids' Consignment Sale
The RVA Kids' Consignment Sale, held every Spring and Fall at CCE, wrapped up their 34th sale and raised $11,500 for missions here at Christ Church. CCE missions receives between 20%-35% of everything that is sold, and that money becomes something much bigger than just a sale. For 18 years, this sale has been a part of this community. But it's also so much more - it's stewardship.

Women of Welcome
The Richmond chapter of Women of Welcome will be packing 100+ weekend nutrition bags for students at Carver Elementary in the Library this Saturday. All women are welcome to join! Women of Welcome is a community dedicated to diving into the whole of scripture to understand God’s heart for the immigrant and refugee.

By the Numbers
This year alone, Christ Church has committed $38,800 in grants to thirteen mission partners doing work here in Richmond and beyond - and that is only part of the story. Parishioners live out the belief that Christ's hands and feet in this world are our own, offering their time in service alongside our mission partners and their generosity through ongoing donation drives.
