Western N.C. Mission Trip 2025
October 13-17, 2025
In September 2024, Hurricane Helene devastated a large portion of Western N.C., Eastern Tennessee, and Southwest Virginia, with the Buncombe County/Asheville region of N.C. experiencing the greatest devastation. Hammer & Heart provides urgent home repairs to neighbors of the Swannanoa Valley who are financially unable to maintain their homes in a safe or livable condition. Majority of work is repairing, installing, and replacing skirting on mobile home parks before winter.

What type of work is needed?
- There are 10-12 mobile home parks in the area that were hit hard, so skirt repairs or replacements are needed
- Pick up trash, trees, and other debris from the storm
- Repair porches, stairs, decks, ramps, etc.
- Note: work is very weather dependent
What is the itinerary for the dates?
Monday, Oct. 13: Team drives to Black Mountain, N.C.
Tuesday, Oct. 14-Friday, Oct. 17: Work onsite in Swannanoa County
Saturday, Oct. 18: Return home
